Lucy and Bob Hope was the 154th overall episode of I Love Lucy, also the premiere episode of season 6, the final season of the series. The episode was directed by James V. Kern, originally aired on CBS-TV on October 1, 1956.

Sighting Bob Hope at Yankee Stadium, Lucy hopes to persuade him to appear at Ricky's club. To get close enough to him, she disguises herself first as a hot-dog vendor, then as a tobacco-chewing umpire.

Plot summaryEdit

Not knowing Ricky already has booked Bob Hope for the club, Lucy tries to get Bob Hope for her husband, dressing ridiculously like a hot dog vendor and a baseball player in the process! At the end, Lucy, Ricky, and Bob Hope all sing "Nobody Likes the Ump."
